How to Complete the Assignment:

This assignment asks you to (1) perform one line of music that matches your skill level, (2) transcribe a melody, and (3) compose your own melody

1. Choose or get assigned any line to play through lines 1-6. Then, perform that line (either through a recording or in person)

2. Transcribe the melody in line 7. The rhythms are already given to you. You only need to change the pitches to match what you hear

3. Compose a melody for line 8 that is in the key of G, which means there is one sharp note: F#. Use the notes in first position, and try to use a wide variety of ranges. Show that you can compose with low note, middle notes, and high notes. Use chord tones and passing tones
